The NSHV organizes formal and informal activities and an annual trip. The trip usually takes place in April.

Informal activities include the monthly drinks, which have a different theme each month, and another informal activity every two months. This usually includes a Sinterklaas activity. In past years, we have organized flower seed bomb workshops, a cantus, barbecues and the NSHV has participated in the Batavierenrace.

Formal activities take place throughout the year, such as symposiums, lectures and workshops. The NSHV also organises a Gala each year.

Furthermore, the NSHV organises an introduction weekend before the start of the first semester, to introduce students that are about to start their Honours programmes to the association.
